Jesse couldn't help but take a yawn. He had been in the library since 3 AM, studying for the many quizzes he had to take. He would, at some times, lay his head on the book he was reading and fall asleep for a few seconds and the librarian would yell at him for sleeping in her library. He decided to move so that if he did fall asleep, he wouldn't get in trouble.
The librarian decided to go to sleep and so did he. His black hair moved over his eyes and he soon fell asleep, only on accident, then a book got thrown at him. He fell off his seat and saw that there was a ghost using him as target practice.
"Knock it off," He mumbled and soon fell back asleep. He woke up in an instant because he needed to study. "Damnit. I need to stay awake." He slapped himself hard and shook the tiredness out of him. He started to study more, harder, but he became more bored of the subjects.

It was approximately five o'clock in the morning when Maylin Chang awoke. Feeling groggy but rested, she sat up in her bed and rubbed her eyes, and then it hit her.
I have an exam today!
Cursing quietly but briskly, she got out of bed and, without even changing out of her pajamas, ran out of the common room and down the grand staircase, bare-footed.
Upon reaching the Library, Maylin took the hair elastic off of her wrist and swept her long, curly black hair into an artfully-careless, loose bun at the back of her head.
She entered the library and the librarian smiled at her. "Good morning, Maylin. You're up awfully early today."
Maylin grinned in response. "The early bird gets the worm," she said and went straight to the bookcases. While scanning the titles on the spines of books, Maylin noticed another boy in the library. He seemed to be studying, as well. He also seemed like he hadn't slept in days. She decided on a book on world war one, where the British used magic on many occasions to fight the Germans. It's amazing how oblivious muggles are, she thought.
Clad in too-big, green and blue plaid pajama bottoms and a light blue wife beater, Maylin sat at the opposite end of the table that the other boy was sitting at. Smiling at him, she flipped through the pages and brushed up on the material that was supposedly on the exam.

Jesse smiled back to the girl, and went back to studying, yawning every few minutes, because of how much sleep he didn't get. He sighed a little bit and layed his head down. He wanted to sleep so badly, and if he didn't sleep, he would probably sleep through his tests, which was bad.
He soon fell asleep again, quietly, and was out like a light.
